  • The Holy Synod of Bishops and Episcopacy of the Orthodox Church in America
    The Holy Synod is the supreme canonical authority in the Church. It includes, as voting members, all the diocesan bishops of the Church. The Metropolitan is the ex officio Chairman of the Synod.

  • Dioceses
    The Diocese is the basic church body which comprises all the parishes of a determined geographical area. It is governed by the Diocesan Bishop with the assistance of a Diocesan Assembly and a Diocesan Council.

    The Metropolitan Council is the permanent executive body of the Church Administration which exists for the purpose of implementing the decisions of the All-American Council and continuing its work between sessions.

    The Audit Committee is elected by the All-American Council to conduct regular audits of the financial records of the Orthodox Church in America.

  • Pension Board
    In an effort to provide appropriate financial support for retiring clergy and full-time Church workers participating in the Orthodox Church in America's Pension Plan, members of the Pension Board oversee the plan's administration and disbursement of benefits. Board members also oversee the Church's group insurance plans. The Pension Board is elected by the All-American Council to oversee the administration of the Pension Plan of the Orthodox Church in America.
