Directions
From the North
Exit #4 from interstate 270 (Illinois Rt 203) south to Granite City. Turn left at the first stop light onto Maryville Rd and the Church is one mile on the left.
From the South
Exit interstate 55 at Illinois Rt 203 north. Follow 203 past Granite City Steel. Where 203 turns left continue straight two stoplights (Maryville Rd). Turn left in Maryville Rd and the Church is about three miles on the right.
From St Louis Metro area

Parish Background
SS Cyril and Methody parish was started in late 1978 and early 1979 when a group of Orthodox Christians asked Bishop Kyrill of the Bulgarian Diocese of Toledo to accept them as a parish. On March 15, 1979 their wish was granted. The present day church stands on four acres of land that was donated by Phillip Morrison for the purpose of erecting a church. Ground breaking ceremonies were held on October 5, 1980 and the church was consecrated by Bishop Kyrill in October 1989. Today the parish is composed of a wide variety of people from many diverse backgrounds with the majority being converts.
