Parish Background

The Skete and Chapel were constructed by Igumen Gregory (Papazian) when he was living and serving in Rawdon.

The Chapel of the Transfiguration is home to the Monastic Community of St. Seraphim of Sarov. During the winter months all services of the Parish of St. Seraphim of Sarov take place in the Skete, which is situated by the famous Russian Cemetery, next to St Seraphim's Church, on 15th Ave.
