General Location
St Nicholas Church, a locally-famous area landmark, is located in Kenosha County (southeastern Wisconsin), one-half mile from beautiful Lake Michigan; approximately 40 miles south of Milwaukee and 60 miles north of Chicago.
From Wisconsin Interstate 94, exit Highway 142
Travel east on Highway 142 (Washington Rd). Turn right (head south) on 22nd Ave (as general references, look for fire station and golf course). Turn left (head east) on 43rd St. Turn right on 18th Ave. The Church is on the left corner.

Schedule of Services
8:30 AM Lesser Sanctification of Holy Water on the first day of each month.
Daily -- Morning
On MONDAYS, WEDNESDAYS, and FRIDAYS (September through June): 8:30 AM Matins and the Reading of the Daily Scriptures and the Prologue of Ochrid. 9:15 AM--3:00 PM Spiritual Life Center w/Book and Icon Shop will be open.
Saturday Evening
5:00 PM Great Vespers. Confessions are heard before or after Vespers.
Sunday Morning
9:15 AM Confessions; 9:45 AM Third Hour; 10:00 AM Divine Liturgy followed by Fellowship/Coffee Hour.

Church Maintenance Ministry
Are responsible for overseeing the physical well being of the Church building and property: To see to such repairs as may become necessary and to apprise the Parish Council of the need of any major expenditures which they believe to be necessary. Are in charge of the work of any employees or contractors hired to work on building or grounds and evaluates the work of work crews and/or volunteers. Supervises judicious use of utilities (heating, cooling, electric, phone), pest control, landscaping, housekeeping, and compliance with ADA, safety and fire regulations.
Religious Education Ministry
Responsible for the organization of the Religious Education Program K through High School, setting up class and grade configuration, coordinating teachers and substitutes, ordering all necessary materials, scheduling regular teacher and parent meetings, coordinating, stewardship education and activities with the Youth Minister. This ministry is also responsible for the organization and implementation of the adult education program, setting up and monitoring church and home bible study groups. Informing and suggesting educational needs to Pastoral Team. Consulting with the CRC for educational materials and suggesting purchases.
Parish Christian Resource Center Ministry
Responsible for purchasing items for Christian Resource Center, such as books, icons, videos, and other items appropriate for the spiritual and liturgical needs of the Parish. Establishes accounts with publishers and distributors to secure best discounts available. Interacts with the Rector, Director of Christian Education, Director of Outreach and Evangelization, and other ministries to respond to the needs in a timely manner. Interacts with the Treasurer regarding all financial matters (purchase invoices, sales income, etc.) Initiates and maintains a church library for parishioners to use and borrow items such as books, videos, cassettes.
Hospitality Ministry
This team is responsible for making all visitors feel welcome in our community through a proactive greeting program. Greeters distribute Welcome Cards, seat guests, provide literature and booklets, take offerings, organize communion attendants, and assist the priest in an orderly dismissal. Greeters insure that the name and address of all guests are given to the priest and welcome card writer and makes sure offerings are given to the Financial Secretary after Divine Liturgy. The team is also responsible for coordinating weekly coffee hour supplies and staffing.
Stewardship and Social Concerns Ministry
Stewardship is our active commitment to use all our time, talent and treasure for the benefit of humankind in grateful acknowledgment of Christ's redeeming love. Stewardship is caring for the needs of others. Stewardship is offering one's self to God as He offered Himself to us. Stewardship is learning how to be a responsible and concerned caretaker of Christ's Church; it is learning how to enjoy Church life and be happy in Church work, for in Her dwells the fullness of the Spirit of God. Stewardship is devotion and service to God and his Church as persons, as families, as deaneries, as diocese, as national Church, and as the Church universal. Our stewardship includes social outreach, to the needy in the local neighborhood as well as in the Orthodox community. This includes regular direct service at a shelter, food bank, clothing drive, or soup kitchen.
Outreach Ministry
The Outreach Ministry is responsible for the promotion of Holy Orthodoxy throughout Racine, Kenosha and Northern Lake Counties. This includes all activities involved in publicizing our faith community in general, as well as the marketing of special events throughout the year.
