Memorandum to OCA clergy concerning the correct liturgical commemoration of His Eminence, Archbishop Dmitri

On Thursday, September 4, 2008, OCA director of ministries and communications, Archpriest Andrew Jarmus, issued a memorandum by email to OCA clergy concerning the proper liturgical commemoration of His Eminence, Archbishop Dmitri, Archbishop of Dallas and the South, Locum tenens of the Metropolitan See.
Quoting a revision in the statement from the OCA Holy Synod of Bishops regarding the retirement of His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman Fr. Andrew writes the following:
“In liturgical commemorations, in the Litanies, (His Eminence) is to be commemorated in this manner: ‘For His Eminence, Archbishop DMITRI, for His Grace, our Bishop [N]...’ At the Great Entrance and at ‘Among the first…,’ he is to be commemorated in this manner: ‘His Eminence, DMITRI, Archbishop of Dallas and the South, Locum tenens of the Metropolitan See…’”
