Prayers requested for choir director of Minneapolis’ Saint Mary Cathedral

Prayers are requested for the health of Resa Ellison, choir director of Saint Mary Cathedral here, who was hospitalized on November 8 with the H1N1 virus and an aggressive form of pneumonia.

Doctors say that Resa’s condition is grave. She remains in an induced coma, according to the Very Rev. Andrew Morbey, cathedral dean.

The daughter of the Rev. and Mrs. James Ellison of Saint Nicholas Antiochian Orthodox Church, Urbana, IL, Resa has directed the cathedral choir for three years. She is a graduate of Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Crestwood, NY.

The Ellison family has initiated a blog at www.caringbridge.org/visit/resaellison/journal that provides updates on Resa’s condition.

May Christ our God, the Healer and Physician of our souls and bodies, raise Resa from her bed of infirmity.
