Martyrs Sebastian the Duke and Theoklitos

Saint Sebastian was the ruler of the city of Cartagena. He embraced the Christian faith because of the evangelical word of Saint Photeinos, the son of Saint Photeine (March 20), and he was martyred during the reign of Emperor Nero (54-68).

The Holy Martyr Theoklitos, the former sorcerer, is mentioned only in the Paris Codex 1578. We do not have his Life, but Metropolitan Sophronios Eustratiadis (1872-1947) in his Hagiologion assumes that perhaps he was the sorcerer who gave the poison to Saint Photeine. Later he came to believe in Christ and then he was beheaded.
