Troparion — Tone 1
You received grace from God, O glorious Dēmḗtrios, / and you were strengthened by His power; / you lived according to the Gospel, / therefore you obtained a reward from Christ for your labors, O most blessed one. / Pray to Him for the salvation of our souls.
Kontakion — Tone 8
From your youth, O Venerable one, you took up your cross and followed Christ, / exhausting your flesh by prayers and fasting, by vigils, and by suffering evils. / Therefore, the All-Seeing Eye, beholding your works, glorified you with miracles / and taught everyone to cry out to you, “Rejoice, Father Dēmḗtrios, adornment of fasters.”
