Vespers (served Sunday evening)

Lord, I call on 10: 4 octoechos (hymns of repentance, in the tone of the week)* + 3 triodion + 3 saint of the day, from the menaion; glory: saint, if there is one; now: theotokion, from the lesser (that is, the non-resurrectional) theotokia. If there is not a glory for the saint: glory and now: theotokion in the tone of the sticheras to the saint.

Aposticha: 2 triodion (idiomelon, sung 2x) + 1 martyrs; glory: saint, if there is one; now: theotokion in the tone of the glory. If there is not a glory for the saint: glory and now: theotokion in the tone of the sticheron to the martyrs.

** “Turn not away your face…” is the great prokeimenon used at Forgiveness Sunday vespers and on the 2nd and 4th Sunday evenings. “You have given us an inheritance…” is used on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th Sunday evenings at vespers.
