The joint meeting of the Holy Synod of Bishops and the Metropolitan Council has concluded in Cleveland, OH. The participants were expanded to include Diocesan Chancellors, representatives from the OCA seminaries, and several Monastic Superiors.
The joint session hosted a workshop in which groups discussed topics and questions relating to vocation in preparation for the upcoming 20th All-American Council, “Becoming Vessels of Grace.” There were a total of eight topics ranging from clerical vocation to youth ministry to the impact of changing demographics on our parishes. Each topic was discussed over three separate sessions concluding with recommendations for the upcoming 20th All-American Council.
