On Sunday, January 24, 2021, the 33rd Sunday after Pentecost, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon presided at the celebration of the Divine Liturgy at Saint Sergius Chapel at the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America. At the end of the liturgy, His Beatitude served a panikhida for the six priests of the Orthodox Church in America who have fallen asleep in the Lord this month. He also remembered the newly departed Mary Trader, mother of His Grace Bishop Alexis of Bethesda, locum tenens of the Diocese of Sitka and Alaska. After the Divine Liturgy, His Beatitude read his Message for the Sanctity of Life Sunday.
