Schedule Announced for Episcopal Ordination of Archimandrite Vasily
The schedule information for the episcopal ordination of Bishop-elect Right Reverend Archimandrite Vasily has been made available.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, the Rite of Election will be held at 6:00 PM in San Francisco’s historic Holy Trinity Cathedral with Vespers following the election.
The ordination will take place on Saturday, August 16. His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will be greeted at 9:00 AM and will preside over the Rite of the Profession of Faith and the hierarchical Divine Liturgy. During the Liturgy, Archimandrite Vasily will be ordained to the episcopacy.
A ticketed luncheon banquet in honor of the newly installed Bishop of San Francisco and the West will follow at McCormick & Kuleto’s Seafood & Steaks in San Francisco’s landmark Ghirardelli Square at 12:45 PM.
Vespers will be served after the banquet at 4:00 PM. The newly ordained Bishop Vasily will serve his first hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 17 at 9:30 am at Holy Trinity Cathedral.
