Archpriest Alexander Garklavs appointed Administrator of Diocese of Alaska

In a letter dated March 8, 2008, His Beatitude, Metropolitan Herman announced the appointment of OCA Chancellor, Archpriest Alexander Garklavs, as Administrator of the Diocese of Alaska. The letter states that Fr. Alexander “is authorized on behalf of the Orthodox Church in America to negotiate and execute all normal matters in the day to day administration of the Diocese. He is also charged with the duty of convoking and presiding at all meetings of the ‘Diocesan Administration’ and Diocesan convocations.”
