FOS to host Cleveland area gathering

The Very Rev. Eugene Vansuch, executive director of the Fellowship of Orthodox Stewards [FOS], will meet with Cleveland-area FOS members and potential members during the first weekend of June 2007.

On Saturday, June 9, Father Eugene will meet with members and potential members during a coffee/tea reception at Saint Andrew Church, 16069 Maple Park Dr., Maple Heights, OH. The reception will follow the celebration of Great Vespers at 5:00 p.m.

During the reception, Father Eugene will update current and potential FOS members on the ongoing work of the Orthodox Church in America ministries that are funded through voluntary gifts made to FOS.

On Sunday, June 10, Father Eugene will concelebrate the Divine Liturgy with the pastor of Saint Andrew Church, the Very Rev. Emil Hutnyan, after which he will offer a presentation on the work of FOS and the OCA’s ministries to the parish faithful.

In recent months, Father Eugene has made similar visits to All Saints Church, Salisbury, CT; Saint Stephen Church, Orlando/Longwood, FL; Saint Andrew Church, Mingo Junction, OH; Saint Nicholas Church, Weirton, WV; Saint Cyprian of Carthage Church, Richmond, VA; and Holy Spirit Church, Wantage, NJ. He also met with the clergy of the South Florida Deanery in Venice, FL.

Established nearly three decades ago, FOS embraces hundreds of faithful across North America who are committed to the prayerful and financial support of the OCA’s ministries, including the Departments of Christian Education, Liturgical Music and Translations, Christian Witness and Service, Archives, Evangelization, and Youth, Young Adult, and Campus Ministries.
