St. Michael Antiochian Orthodox Church, Loiusville, KY, will once again sponsor the annual Climacus Conference Friday and Saturday, February 18-19, 2011. The pan-Orthodox event, which features Orthodox Christian scholars and voices across the fields of theology, philosophy, patristics, classical education, literature, and history/politics, provides a unique opportunity through scholarly engagement with the classic liberal arts. Igumen Sergius, Abbot of St. Tikhon’s Monastery, South Canaan, PA, will lead a retreat at St. Innocent Church, Livermore, CA, February 18-19, 2011. He will bring with him numerous relics from the monastery, including those of SS. Innocent, Tikhon of Moscow, Tikhon of Zadonsk, Herman, Raphael, Alexis Toth, and others. He will be installed during the Divine Liturgy at Holy Trinity Cathedral, Chicago, on Sunday morning, May 1.
