Pan-Orthodox Lenten Vespers scheduled for upstate New York

The Saint Andrew’s Brotherhood of Orthodox Clergy of the Capital District [NY] recently announced its schedule of pan-Orthodox Lenten Vesper Services.

On Forgiveness Sunday, March 6, Vespers will be celebrated at Saint George Antiochian Orthodox Church, South Glen Falls, at 5:00 p.m. The Very Rev. Igor Burdikoff, pastor of Christ the Savior Parish [OCA], Ballston Lake, NY and SABOC president, will preside at the service, assisted by other members of the Clergy Brotherhood.

On Orthodoxy Sunday, March 13 at St. Basil’s Parish [OCA] in Watervliet, NY—all services begin at 5:00 p.m.—Priestmonk Christopher [Savage] of New Skete Monastery, will be the guest homilist, while the Brotherhood Choir, conducted by Michael Mellin, will sing the responses. Proceeds from the evening’s collection will be used for Orthodox Christian charities and Brotherhood programs.

The remaining services will be celebrated on March 20 at St. George’s Parish [GOA], Schenectady, NY; March 27 St. Basil’s Parish [GOA], Troy, NY; April 3 is yet to be announced; April 10 at Christ the Savior Church [OCA], Ballston Lake, NY.

The Brotherhood is a 40+-year-old clergy association that represents the canonical Orthodox churches in the Capital District of NY and western Massachusetts and sponsors a variety of ministries and activities throughout the year.
