Participants of CrossRoad summer youth program visit BostonCrossRoad is a summer youth program sponsored by Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology in Brookline, MA.

In late June and early July 2008, two groups of youth from the CrossRoad program visited St. George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral, Boston, MA.

On June 24, the first group visited for a tour; discussion groups with His Grace, Bishop Nikon of Boston, New England, and the Albanian Archdiocese; prayers in the Theophany Chapel; and supper. They were accompanied by the program director, Rev. Deacon Nicholas Belcher, and Priest Alexander Rentel, professor at St. Vladimir’s Seminary.

The young people represented five Orthodox jurisdictions in North America and came from parishes in numerous U.S. states including Utah, Ohio, North Carolina, Connecticut, Virginia, Missouri, California, Colorado, Illinois, Kansas and the Canadian provinces of Ontario, Quebec, and Alberta.

CrossRoad brings 30 young people for a week-long exploration of their Orthodox faith and career vocations. Their activities include the study of iconography and physical culture, as well as visits to five area parishes. During their stay, they reside at Hellenic College in Brookline.
