St. Herman’s Seminary honors graduate
Priest Ishmael Andrew graduated from Saint Herman’s Seminary here during the school’s 37th annual commencement exercises on May 30, 2010.
Earlier that morning, Father Ishmael was ordained to the holy priesthood by His Grace, Bishop Benjamin of San Francisco and the West, who presided at commencement exercises.
Archpriest Robert Arida, dean of Holy Trinity Cathedral, Boston, MA and former professor at the seminary, delivered the commencement address.
Following the ceremony, a delicious dinner was served by Saint Innocent Academy, followed by traditional Yup’ik dancing performed by the wives of the seminarians.
