St. Paul, MN site of 61st American Romanian Orthodox Youth conference
For the first time in 50 years, Saint Mary Church here will be the site of the 61st annual conference of the American Romanian Orthodox Youth [AROY] September 3-5, 2010.
Members of the parish’s AROY chapter are working hard to ensure a most memorable and enjoyable weekend. In addition to plenary business sessions, the event will include worship, workshops, a traditional Romanian picnic, a grand banquet after Sunday’s Divine Liturgy, and a cruise on the Mississippi River. Sunday evening’s 51st Cotillion Ball will round out the weekend’s activities.
Conference theme is “Walk in the Spirit,” reflecting the importance of the Holy Spirit and the attributes of a true Christian life.
AROY maintains chapters in parishes of the Orthodox Church in America’s Romanian Episcopate.
