A job description for the position of Chancellor is posted in PDF format here.

As reported on the OCA web site in mid-July, during the Holy Synod and Metropolitan Council joint meeting in Chicago, IL May 4-6, it was decided that the Human Resources Committee of the Metropolitan Council would consider, evaluate, and recommend to the Metropolitan Council “suitable candidates to fill the position of Chancellor,” according to Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary.  “This recommendation would in turn be presented to the Holy Synod for appointment, per Article II, Section 7m of the Statute of the Orthodox Church in America.”

The Human Resources Committee, chaired by Priest David Garretson, met on July 14 to finalize plans for the search.  Metropolitan Jonah and His Grace, Bishop Melchisedek, Acting Chancellor, attended the meeting.  Other Committee members, in addition to Fathers Eric and David, include Archpriest Joseph Gallick, Archpriest David Lowell, Eleana Silk, and Dr. Paul Witek.

The Chancellor will be based at the OCA Chancery, Syosset, NY.  Salary and benefits are commensurate with employment in the Metropolitan New York area.
