Local Committees meet in preparation for the 20th All-American Council

On Tuesday, August 17, 2021, the planning for the 20th All-American Council took another step forward. The local committee chairs met via teleconference to discuss a number of aspects of the Council. The meeting was chaired by Deacon Peter Ilchuk, Council Manager.

As previously announced, the 20th All-American Council is scheduled to be held on July 18-22, 2022 at the Hilton Baltimore Inner Harbor hotel in Baltimore, MD.

The local committee, under the direction of Archpriest Theodore Boback, Local Clergy Chair, and Lisa Mikhalevsky, Local Lay Chair, discussed the overall update from the Preconciliar Commission.

Deacon Peter described the meeting as productive and indicated that, “One of the goals was to organize the chairs and volunteers of the various local committees and to continue the work in preparation for the Council.”

As already announced, the 20th All-American Council webpage is now live. Over the next months, and up to the beginning of the Council next July, various links and documents will be posted, including necessary information for registration. Registration will officially open in January.

Deacon Peter thanked the members of the local committees and acknowledged the enthusiasm of the faithful of the Archdiocese of Washington, DC who will welcome the 20th All-American Council in their Diocese.
