Presentation on St. Tikhon of Moscow at the 21st All-American Council

Marking the centennial of the repose of the holy hieroconfessor Tikhon, patriarch of Moscow and enlightener of North America, the upcoming 21st All-American Council in Phoenix, AZ, will feature a presentation by Dr. Scott Kenworthy entitled “St. Tikhon of Moscow as a Model of Conciliar Church Leadership.” The presentation, which will feature a lecture by Dr. Kenworthy followed by a discussion with a panel of respondents, is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, July 16, from 3:00 PM to 4:30 PM.

A world-recognized expert on Orthodoxy Christian history, Dr. Kenworthy is a Professor of Comparative Religion at the Miami University of Ohio. A decorated and eminent scholar, he is an Associate of Miami’s Havinghurst Center for Russian and Post-Soviet Studies and the recipient of numerous fellowships, awards, and honors. His most recent book, a groundbreaking and comprehensive critical biography of St. Tikhon, is forthcoming from Oxford University Press this November.
