Schedule Announced for Episcopal Ordination of Archimandrite Vasily
The schedule information for the episcopal ordination of Bishop-elect V. Rev. Archimandrite Vasily has been made available.
On Friday, August 15, 2025, the Rite of Election will be held at 6:00 PM in San Francisco’s historic Holy Trinity Cathedral with Vespers following the election. Limited parking will be available at Saint Brigid’s Friday evening.
The ordination will take place on Saturday, August 16. His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon will be greeted at 9:00 AM and will preside over the Rite of the Profession of Faith and the hierarchical Divine Liturgy. During the Liturgy, Archimandrite Vasily will be ordained to the episcopacy.
A luncheon banquet in honor of the newly installed Bishop of San Francisco and the West will follow at McCormick & Kuleto’s Seafood & Steaks in San Francisco’s landmark Ghirardelli Square at 12:45 PM.
Vespers will be served after the banquet at 4:00 PM. The newly ordained Bishop Vasily will serve his first hierarchical Divine Liturgy on Sunday, August 17 at 9:30 am at Holy Trinity Cathedral.
