Seminarians, area clergy and faithful to celebrate St. Sergius Day at Chancery September 24

His Beatitude, Metropolitan Tikhon and the staff of the Chancery of the Orthodox Church in America will welcome students from Saint Tikhon’s Seminary, South Canaan, PA and Saint Vladimir’s Seminary, Yonkers, NY, at a celebration marking the feast of Saint Sergius of Radonezh on Saturday, September 24, 2016.

Area clergy and faithful are warmly invited to attend the celebration marking the patronal feast day of the Chancery’s Chapel of Saint Sergius of Radonezh.

According to Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary, the day will open with the celebration of the Hierarchical Divine Liturgy by Metropolitan Tikhon; His Eminence, Archbishop Michael; and the Chancery and area clergy in the walled garden [weather permitting] at 10:00 a.m.  A reception will follow, during which dancers from Saint Nino Mission, Brooklyn, NY will perform.

A combined choir comprised of students from Saint Vladimir’s and Saint Tikhon’s Seminaries will sing the liturgical responses.  The choir of Saint Nino Mission also will sing at the Divine Liturgy.
