Standing Synod Meets
On Thursday, May 21, 2020, His Beatitude Metropolitan Tikhon convened a meeting of the Standing Synod of the Orthodox Church in America to review the agenda for next week’s regular meetings of the Holy Synod’s Spring Session which opened on April 29.
Participating in the call were Standing Synod members His Eminence Archbishop Benjamin of San Francisco, His Eminence Archbishop Irénée of Ottawa, and His Eminence Archbishop Michael of New York. Archpriest Alexander Rentel, Chancellor of the Orthodox Church in America participated by invitation.
The next meetings of the Holy Synod will take place by teleconference on May 27 and 29, 2020.
