Parish Background

We are a mission of the Orthodox Church in America, Diocese of the South, a part of the worldwide Orthodox Church, founded by our Lord God and Savior Jesus Christ and spread throughout the world by His Holy Apostles and their successors down to our day.

As Orthodox Christians, we strive above all to unite ourselves to Christ our savior and to worship in Spirit and in truth. The Church is the place of healing, where the communion of heaven and earth, and of man and the world with God is restored.

Beginning with five people who gathered on Saturday evenings for Reader’s Vespers, Saint Basil’s is a community of about ninety souls of all ages.  Services are in English and take place in our newly renovated church less than a mile south of the Marietta old town square.  We also offer weekly classes in the Orthodox Faith for enquirers, catechumens, and Orthodox faithful.

We welcome all who are seeking God and wish to experience His Love and Salvation.
