OCA Web Tech Manager, Web Editor to begin duties January 3, 2011
After a lengthy search initiated with the approval of the Holy Synod of Bishops and the Metropolitan Council in the fall of 2010, the Orthodox Church in America has engaged the services of a Web Tech Manager and Web Editor in its ongoing efforts to upgrade and update its web site at www.oca.org.
Beginning their manager and editor duties on January 3, 2011, are respectively Ryan Platte, Rochester, NY, and Virginia H. Nieuwsma, San Jose, CA.
“Both have impressive and lengthy experience in their respective fields and were highly recommended,” said Archpriest Eric G. Tosi, OCA Secretary, who facilitated the search process. “Shortly after the beginning of the new year we will engage two additional persons—a web designer and a web developer—which will complete the team that will oversee the development and upgrade of the OCA web site.
Both positions are part-time.
“The addition of Mr. Platte and Mrs. Nieuwsma brings us that much closer to the much needed upgrade and redesign of the site,” Father Eric added.
