Saint Peter was born in Capitolis in Palestine, and was the father of three children.
After the death of his wife, he entered a monastery. Later, he became Bishop of Busra, Hauran.
Saint Peter was martyred by the Saracens in Damascus. Even after they had cut out his tongue, he continued to speak clearly. His right hand and foot were cut off, his eyes were put out, and finally he was beheaded.
