Troparion — Tone 6
You have become a luminary of unwaning light for our land, blessed by God, / and valiantly endured tribulations from the Enemy. / Your beatings and wounds became for you a garment of incorruption, / for you fought the beasts, and were wounded by robbers. / You prayed for them, saying, / “Do not impute this sin to them,” / thereby becoming like the Master Christ. / O Father Nίkander, worthy of glory, pray for our souls.
Kontakion — Tone 1
Christ has shown you as the dawning of the sun, O venerable one, / for you shine in the Russian land with the grace of miracles, / dispersing the darkness of suffering and sorrow for those who come to you in faith. / Therefore, we honor your memory, Father Nίkander, and we cry out to you: / “Rejoice, adornment of ascetics, the glory and strength of our land.”
