Archpriest Peter Bodnar fell asleep in the Lord on September 26, 2026.
Born in Edmonton, Alberta on June 18, 1947, he followed in his grandfather, Archpriest Peter Melnychuk’s footsteps and was ordained to the priesthood June 27, 1976. Fr. Peter served many faithful and led many into the Faith in his 50 years of service to God and his Church.
Left to honor his legacy are his wife, Matushka Cynthia Anne (MamaPete), his children Theodore; Phillip and Charlotte, Merlin, Iliana; Lileah and Mark, Cole, Bryce, Alec; Gabriel and Aimee, Liam, Rowyn; his brothers Joseph and Dianne, Paul and Victoria; siblings in-law Eleanor, Kenneth, Michael and Cheryl, and their families and a multitude of extended family.
Father Peter used one scripture as his guiding light: Seek first the Kingdom of God.
