Jonathan Russin, former General Counsel for the Orthodox Church in America, reposed in the Lord on December 31, 2022 following complications from a stroke.
Jonathan had a legal career spanning 60 years where he worked with companies, governments, and NGOs. Active as a lay leader at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral, Washington D.C., Jonathan also served as the principal lawyer of the OCA.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Nicholas Orthodox Cathedral. The burial will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 at 11 a.m. at Fern Knoll Burial Park, in Dallas, Pennsylvania.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests any donations be made to the Rostropovich Vishnevskaya Foundation (RVF): For the Heath of Children.
