On Tuesday, January 31, Matushka Mary Ann Oselinsky, wife of Archpriest Dimitri Oselinsky of Saint Mary of Egypt Church in Atlanta, GA, fell asleep in the Lord. A caring wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, she was 77.

Matushka Mary Ann was born to Anna and Paul Delman on April 16, 1945 in Johnson City, NY. In 1965, she married Father Dimitri, and they would go on to have two loving daughters, Nadine and Elaine. Their life would take them to serve five Russian Orthodox parishes: Alpha, NJ; Mayfield, PA; Herkimer, NY; Clifton, NJ; and Bethlehem, PA. In this role, Matushka Mary Ann found her life calling to be a welcoming presence to all she encountered.

Her life was dedicated to putting others’ needs before her own. She was a devoted Matushka to the various Russian Orthodox parishes that she and Father Dimitri served. She thrived within the parish community and made lifelong connections with those with whom she interacted. Whether it was through camaraderie while baking at the church or writing a heartfelt letter, Matushka Mary Ann had a way of making friends feel like family. Her family was her pride and joy. Perhaps her greatest role was that of grandmother, she loved and adored her grandchildren with all her heart. She will be dearly missed.

Matushka Mary Ann is survived by Father Dimitri, daughters Nadine Salamoni and Elaine Mastropaolo, sons-in-law Sal Salamoni and Jeff Mastropaolo, and grandchildren Matthew Salamoni and Sarah Mastropaolo.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 3, at Saint Mary of Egypt Church at 1765 Woodstock Road, Roswell, GA 30075. Burial will take place afterward at North Atlanta Memorial Park at 5188 Winters Chapel Road, Dunwoody, GA 30360.

May Matushka Mary Ann’s memory be eternal!
