Matushka Mary Frimenko, widow of the late Archpriest (Chaplain) Michael Frimenko (CAPT, USN), fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, March 19, 2021 at Azalea Park Retirement Community.
She was born on June 12, 1927 in Bethlehem, PA, and was preceded in death by her father, Michael Zubko, her mother, Mary Szkolny Zubko Malchuk and her stepfather, Trofim Malchuk. Also remembered is her son, Michael Frimenko, Jr. USN (Ret.).
Surviving are two daughters, Nadine Batuyios (Louis) of Wilmington, NC and Dr. Kathryn Blackburn (Robert) of Lakeland, FL; eight grandchildren; James Batuyios, Michael Batuyios, Nicholas Batuyios, Gregory Batuyios, Dr. Rob Blackburn, Paul Blackburn, Elizabeth Slocum and Michael Frimenko III. In addition are seven grandchildren; Piper Slocum, Holland Slocum, Lochlan Slocum, Braxton Blackburn, Isabella Batuyios, Charlotte Batuyios and Louie Batuyios. She is also survived by her sister, Olga Frimenko who resides in Bethlehm, Pa.
As per her request, funeral services will be private.
