Priest Maximos Herman, attached to Holy Transfiguration Mission, Ames, IA, fell asleep in the Lord on Monday, October 25, 2021.
He is survived by his wife Matushka Angela and son Jonathan.
The schedule of services for Father Maximos’ funeral is as follows. Local funeral services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, October, 27, 2021 at Saint Raphael Antiochian Orthodox Church, 722 E. College Street in Iowa City. A time of gathering will be held two hours prior to the service from 5-7:00 PM. Divine Liturgy will be sung at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at Saint Raphael Orthodox Church. A Mercy Meal will follow in the church fellowship hall. Burial will take place at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 29, 2021 at Holy Archangel Michael & All Angels Skete in Weatherby, Missouri.
