Prifteresha Viola Soter, 84, fell asleep in the Lord on Friday, July 22, 2016. She was the beloved wife of Archpriest Michael Soter, who in retirement is attached to Saint George Albanian Orthodox Cathedral, South Boston, MA.
Born in Worcester, MA to George and Dhona Lazour, she especially enjoyed basketball and softball. Along with Father Michael, she volunteered with the American Red Cross for over 15 years and was also involved with animal welfare organizations throughout the years.
In addition to Father Michael, Prifteresha Viola is survived by their sons, Michael and Eric [Denise]; grandchildren, Amanda and Derek; and sister, Julia Christo.
Visitation will be held at Saint Mary’s Assumption Church, 535 Salisbury Street, Worcester, MA from 4:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 26. The Funeral service will be celebrated at the church at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 27.
