Joyous feast of Saint Herman to one and all! Nearly two hundred years after his repose and over fifty years since his glorification, Saint Herman, the patron saint of North America and of the Orthodox Church in America, remains the “joyful North Star” of those who profess Christ in an Orthodox manner in this land. Though today we celebrate his feast with splendor, our love for Saint Herman, and our confidence in his paternal intercession, should not be limited to one or two days of the year. We should pray daily to him for the protection and benefit of our countries and for the upbuilding and well-being our Church. May his prayers guide us all into the heavenly kingdom!
