Hieromonk Andrew Lloyd (Letten) peacefully fell asleep in the Lord in his home on January 24, 2022.
He was born in Bogalusa, LA no November 8, 1925 to Lloyd and Ollie Letten (nee Holmes). After training at Columbia University, he served as a US Navy Communications officer from 1944-1947. In 1950, he graduated from Wheaton College and married Barbara Bohley. In 1954 he received a ThM from Dallas Theological Seminary and returned to the Navy as a chaplain, retiring in 1972.
He was ordained to the priesthood in 1989 in the Eastern Orthodox Church, serving a mission church in northwest Portland, OR until 2006, when he became a retired celebrant at Annunciation Orthodox Church in Milwaukie, OR.
He is survived by his children, Beverly Donnor, Bruce Letten and Maria (Shirley) Nash; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
